For Xmas we did not celebrate much instead. Coz on tat day my hubby needs to do OT. (Poor thing) and so we went to north area to have dinner at cafe cartel.


They severed quite nice food and he had pork ribs and i have burger.

As usual he did not buy anything for me. I bought a wallet (pink) from mini bits fro rewarding myself SGD$29.

I bought him a man's wallet PICARD. cost me about SGD $80 after LESS 20%.

Today went down after my 2 appointments in the day at NUH. morning appointment dr was late , we actually appt at 0950, was informed dr late 30 mins, but dr came at 10.30am. See for a while and finished at 11.15pm.
Went to see another dr at 12pm. finished at 1pm.
Spend $28 and $52 for 2 specialist for my follow-up reviews.

From NUH (kent ridge) dover mrt to tampines mrt and took bus 291. Reached niks maple clinic at 3.00pm on wednesday, 01 december 2010. Waited like mad!!! Queue is real long and draggy. We were the 2nd in place before us is an auntie queeing on behalf for her pretty daughter. Oh my!!

I went to see the Dr Ong was told my face was still not oily enough.. and was given golden nugget and blemish concealor.

Total damage for 01-12-2010 :
1) golden nugget = $9.50
2) ultrafine cleanser =$25
3) blemish concealor =$4.50
4) clinda gel = $43
5) consulation =$20

TOtal damage = $102

These are the old furnitures, torned and tatted. Do go for good leathers coz i bought this from seahorse retail shop in spore. only used for 2.5 years(From 2007 - 2010) , not value for money.
Bought 2 seater + 1 chaise lounge = $540. Cheap!!

We got 1 from ikea at around SGD$1300 (Price @Yr 2010)
Bad = DIY, assemble yourself.
Good = Sofa cover is changeable, many colours available.

The white mirror door is hard to assemble and tedious but we finally got it done with the help of only 2 people.




The Frames are slightly better. Just 4 pieces of wood, but really very time consuming and challenging to assemble.

Internal fittings like = clothes rails, shelves, drawers, wire baskets etc to buy according to your needs .

Just wanna share my current as at 15.11.2010 skincare products, i went to see a dermatology coz my skin is really badly breaking out, maybe stress or hormonal disorder.
alot of painful nodules acnes = cannot come to head, bumpy when feel (mosquito bites alike), invading around my jawlines , Cystic head = can burst when ripens and are bumpy too.

I was given all these 7 products as shown(my skin is oily type):
1) Ultrafine soothing cleansng lotion - feels like not cleaned thoroughly, oily feeling.
2) Golden lipid drop - Enrich with Vitamin A,K,D. (around eye areas)
3) Aroma Acne clear gel - prevent breakouts
4) Clindgel - antibiotic gel
5) Skin repair - repair damage and red skin.
6) Stieva-A 0.01% - reduce pimple swell , but reddens the pimple after 4-5 applications.
7) Sunscreen - avoid pigmentaion when age comes and UtlraViolet Ray.

Total damage = SGD$158.00.

Although all were in trial sizes, charges at that rate is considered HIGH! And if i were suitable for these products, i couldn't imagine the cost of actual size of each bottle of skin product. Oh My Gosh!!!

1 November 2010 - Acne regime

Acne regimen

Just wanna share my acne regimen with some people, although not so effective , but work alright for my skin. But i strongly believe.

1) Getting enough sleep
2) Drink plenty water, flush out toxins. (8 glasses!!! visiting toilet very regularly)
3) Eat healthy and balanced diet, eat less oil, salty food more on soupy stuff.
4) Wash face 2-3 times per day.

My facial routines are as follows:

1) Cleansing solution from a doctor clinic (Espilon Cleanser = with antiseptic + ianolin)






















2) Avene Cleanance Lotion (toner)





















3) Avene Cleanance Anti shine regulating lotion (moisturisers non oily)

























4) ICM Calamol lotion (on pimple areas)
=Only to dry and heal pimples, but doesn't heal red spots.

5) ICM Acne clear (on pimple areas, had to be careful coz it makes skin red and dry and peeling), I dun say it's really effective but it makes my pale skin very red and dry, flakey.

I just use for 2 weeks (20 oct 2010 - 1 nov 2010).
*Nodules or cystic acne (swollen just like mosquito bites) can actually reduce swell fast if you faithfully apply for approximately 4 -5 days.
As based on the dermatologist, it's approximate 6-8 weeks to see or notice the difference in skin, So be patient...

27 July 2010 (Tues) - JOB INTERVIEW

Gotten a job at Kallang Way

It was hard to get there cause i need to take bus no. 858 and 966, i noder to get to my destination. and it's not easy to get there. Then will need to walk another 10 mins to the place MC.

Reached my destination at around 9.40am. I was early so i went to guardhouse to exchanged for a pass to get into the building. The moment i got in i was given a interview form to fill up my particulars. They have a part where people need to circle which best describe them, most appealing to you.

3.Strength
There were total of 5 questions i can't remember the rest just after 1 day!!! getting old already!

The interview started with quest like describe yourself first. Interviewer is a guy an a lady.The Guy was friendly, lady on the other hand looks stern.

I ask for certain amount but they purposely lower my pay $200 ('0') Lesser. Sad to say, my expected salary was already lowered, i still had to agree to the terms and conditions no matter what. Because my hindrance of physical impairment (speaking difficulties), might be hard for me to get a good pay job. Reluctantly, i accepted their offer at $200 lesser.
I came to ponder, probably they need manpower urgently.So they rushing to get me to sign the appointment letter on the spot and on the very day.

While they were preparing the offer letter.The guy boss, told me my immediate superior is a lady, she will be Cynthia, she was also in the interview session.

I count myself lucky, cos i only brought a light-hearten spirit for the interview. Never will i expect getting this job so successfully. I do hope it will be a good job and environment.

30 June 2010 - Neck recovery

1 week later, and I had my bandage removed when i go down to see my dr for the healing process. I dun need to remove any suture, coz it's been this since i went back home the same day.
I think my scars are ugly :( ...












I hope it heals well and i hope the red will fade off fast!! i think i need to turn to my dermatix, for fading scars, soften and flats scars.













My doctor never says anything, He just advice on avoiding strenuous exercise that's all. However, i read from the internet about this article and it shares some useful tips for recovery.

• First 3 days
  • Feel free to drink plenty of fluids to keep secretions thin. There are no restrictions on soft or normal talking. You should not yell or scream and should try to avoid coughing or straining very hard. If you are constipated, take a stool softener. Do not lift more than ten pounds. Theoretically, the implant could move some with enough force, until it is scarred in over several weeks. On the afternoon of the surgery, you voice will be pretty good, almost certainly better than before surgery. Then, swelling sets in since your vocal folds are bruised and your voice will sound deep, rough and laryngitis-like. It will require some extra effort to talk. Frequently steroids are given in surgery, such as Decadron that slow the amount of swelling. You may go home with additional steroids such as Prednisone or a Medrol Dose-pak.
• The next day
  • If you are from out of town, I will ask you to stay overnight in town. If there are concerns, I will see you back in the office the next day. We can have a look at your vocal folds to assess how much swelling there is. They will usually look puffy and bruised and you will often say your voice was better after surgery than it is now.
• 1 week
  • There is a suture in your neck that you may remove by cutting one end off and pulling on the other. If you are uncomfortable removing it, you may make an appointment.
• After 2 - 6 weeks
  • Return for a follow up visit to see if you are healed. Swelling should be completely gone at this point. Feel free to use your voice as much as you want. In many instances, I will prescribe a voice building regimen to strengthen the remaining voice muscles.
• Six months
  • Mid term evaluation
• One year
  • Long term evaluation of your surgery.

22 June 2010 - Medialization Thyroplasty

Becoz i had vocal chord paralysis, I Decided to undergo the silicon implant for my hoarse voice which is persistent for the 2 years...(boo hoo hoo). Medical operation fees is $1188 + $248 + $169 (cash upfront).

For Money wise , financially still manageable, coz I can use my medisave $ to deduct so i did it without hesitation although i am not working ....the operation was successful, i went in for day surgery on 22 June @ 12.30pm and go back on the day @ 6pm. I went into surgery @2.15pm come out at 3.30pm.

This operation is known as medialization thyroplasty, I need to be awake in the opt as the dr need to fine tune the best voice for you.
Then inside i was covered with a cloth i can see but was given local anesthetic at the neck area. I was given a cut at around 6cm long, i can hear the operation equipments working on my neck. Whoa i can say it's really pain!!!! Level of pain is 8... ('0') ouch!!!! pain sia... i feel like there is a pinch on your skin. keep pinching and pinching and the pain can go all the way to your head. As soon as i went back home i had fish porridge(very hard to swallow, pain!!) & took paracetamol.

31 March 2010 - Last Day @ A***

This was actually my last Day of work at A***. I resigned for sake of my poor health. I wouldn't want to go to work i was scared, anxious and very panicking, i was till on fluoxetine.

My husband & i took the taxi to my A*** com. To return my badge, clear my belongings , sign exit interview. Luckily with the help of my qa engineer, eliada. i was able to do all things neatly. She knew i had depression and she helped me alot! Really got to thanked her.

I dunno why i reacted very strange i cry the moment i stepped into the office.
I feel very terrible. But after letting out the cry i feel much more better. My colleague , Ah mei says she's pregnant after the giddy symptoms, happy for her, coz it's a long wait.

30 March 2010 - A*** Workplace

I was lucky to get a job after i left the job at cariman.
It's A***.
Located at Kallang. I think think job is good(People, food milo, biscuits, good pay=able to pay what i got at f***) but somehow i didn't worked long, i didn't know what was the EXACT problem but only knew i was lethargic, tired, sleepy to go to work almost everyday.

My job requires me to carry heavy metal's for semiconductor's assemblies.
My boss, qa engineer and end users we good to me and everyone.
Some how still lack of something maybe due to my poor health, i couldn't perform anything well.

When i talked on the phone , ppl can't hear me and even mistook me for an "Ah GUA" what the hack!! Coz i lost my voice from an operation in year 2008. That's really offensive.. i really take it to heart. From feb 2010, i tend to be very sick and can't do my job well, Always feel giddy & anxoius.

The Giddy symptoms is persistent, i even went to hospital. Since Dec 2009, i had been going to see neurosurgeons Dr. for this dizzy problem. Did a brain CT scan, tilt table test, blood test for calcium & thyroid.
All came out well !

What's the culprit wonder if it was becoz i always need to talk alot so i always experience lacking of breath. I went to see GP (Tan kah King at yishun). I had depression , that time i was very scared to go out , even shopping centres and crowded places. I even took Fluoxetine 15 mg and diapezam for restful nights. Which are meant for depression.

Depression signs:
*Tight Feeling
*Anxiety
*Lump in the throat
*Sleepy
*Can't concentrate
*Breathless

I hope i can recover from this stupid illness..

24 Jul 2009 - Cariman, F***

My previous company is F********** . I enjoyed working there but only lasted for about 5 years. Duration is from 24 May 2004 ~ 30 June 2009. Because company wanted to shift the manufacturing area to china. So there is a retrenchment on going since then.

And i rested for about 1 week and found a job at cariman located at woodlands sector. Cariman Pte Ltd is not a good company coz at that time they were oso in bad shape business is not good, economic crisis. Having no choice and introduction by Alvin yeow(ex Proj. engineer) i took the job and worked from 24 Jul 2009 ~ 30 Jul 2009, only 7 days work. Luckily i was paid. around $300+. The boss is trying to push my salary down and when i told him i go another job, he purposely increased by $200. I still think there is room for improvement. As it's facing financial problems and i am not satisfied with the salary so no room for negotiation. Bye bye!!

29 June 2008 - Carotid Body Tumour recovery

Stayed in the hospital for 1 week, 2 days in ICU, coz i really cough very badly. the dr claimed that the water of whatever has gone to my lungs causing the phelgms and mucous all other problems.

I even had alot of plugs and milk pipe linked to my body, the feeling was devastated. i really can't feel good. Coughing and coughing non stopped.

Actually i even had sudden urge of dying straight away, maybe i was too depressed.Imagine like your body is in a mess and all the plugs stuck to your body, hands, wrist, vagina(for urinating), neck(for blood dripping), nose(oxygen supply) Like what's life has got for me. It's a total torment.

Day 2 @ ICU (saturday night no sleep) - cough, vommit non stopped.
Day 3 @ ICU (sunday night no sleep) - cough badly and vommit .

Just feel like doing nothing, terrible, can get up, just stay on bed and i can't eat . Canned Milk (Isocal) was delivered to my stomach using a pipe linked to the passage of my stomach.

Day 4 @ Ward = After restless (continuously no sleep!!! wide eye open!!!) 2 nights in ICU, i was finally wheeled to the normal patients Ward. From here i feel breathy (no oxygen supply, to breathe on my own) but not so intense as the ICU. but i feel terrribly hot and sticky, but can't bath. Cough and spit bloody phelgms.

Day 5 @ Ward = Finally had a hair wash on my own without any nurse assistance.(very brave), coz hair too itchy to tolerate.

Day 6 @ Ward = Rest and cough

Day 7 @ Ward = Going back home. After i reached home i can sleep for 6 hours. But was back home with the milk feeding isocal pipe. i need to learn how to feed myself for the rest of the 3 weeks!!! No food, cannot swallow at all,

Results after opt:
- cannot swallow
- vocal chord 1 side paralysis
- cannot speak well
- hoarse and breathy voice.
- coughing non stopped
- Left leg pain, thrombosis (from the grafting of veins)
- Sore throat (rubbing of feeding tube in throat
)

13 June 2008 - Carotid body Tumour Operation

There's a lot of ups and down in life and life is really unpredictable. In Mar 2008, i was diagnose with a tumour in my left neck. Bumpy and with a mass with no pains..... which was what they called a carotid body tumour very rare illness in spore. Cause it's happening to ppl who stays in high altitude like mountains, which is lack of oxygen.. would i say i have lack in oxygen??
The i went down to west side of spore's hospitals to have a check up, did all the blood test, CT scans(expensive), Ultrasound scan.

On 25 may 2008, i had a angiogram to check the location of the tumour. which the dr. need to be sure of b4 doing the resection of body tumour(neck) and grafting of the veins to act as a supply for the missing big blood vein. (*cry*) so many operation to do...

On 13 June 2008, had a major operation at the west side spore's hospital. About 10 hours, cost me a bomb, SDG $17K. luckily i was covered under my ex-company's insurance and oso my own insurance. Although i didn't have to pay a single cents,you still need to pay for the pre-operation reviewing fees and post-operations follow ups, Taxi fares Etc...

27 November 2007 - ROM ❤

We had our ROM wedding at the Registry of marriage on 27 NOV 2007 (Tues), Fine day. We were 26 & 30 then. Register at 10.45am. In the late morning. I remember i went down to North area to do my makeup + hairdo =$120. It's expensive but i dunno how to do my own makeup and the hand flower 1 bouquet cost $60, pink. ❤❤

My family of 6 but only 5 went for the ROM + my Frenz 3, My husband side total of 7. His Elder Bro 3ppl, parents 2, Grandma , Uncle. All in all = 15. Registration later we went to amk for karaoke session + Dim sum bought by my brother at amk hub . Late evening had dinner at the Gim tim restaurant in YCK. Per head is 30.00++ so all in total around 20ppl. Cost about $800. Booked the transport for $200 per day!
We Just had a wonderful day and i was promoted to Misus from then!! ❤❤

01 September 2007 - Bike Fall

Fallen down from bike This is really a terrible experience coz it's too sudden. It was on sunday and my bf(formerly know as) & i was on the way to our new house when he claimed the road was slippery so he steered to the left hand side. Too sudden to react, both of us fell from the bike.

He was injured, his arm and legs sustained minor injuries. As the pillion i oso had some injuries. The worse is on my right leg feet knuckle.

Here's a pic. This is after 2 years later's scar...the colour lightened & fades a little.

We only went to those clinic which opens on sunday. The doctor gave us painkillers and washing solutions (pink-insept).

Luckily we had a 1 week MC. Coz it's really extremely pain, we did not report to traffic police coz the neighborhood police says he will kenna deduction of points.

Having no choice, and to keep the valuable traffic points, bf says he will not report the case and blame himself for the reckless driving. Maybe it's due to the slippery road.. There are oil spills!!!! .. this is really dangerous for any drivers.

And luckily we are safe, after 2 weeks later we went back to work. i still had to limped. coz it's really pain...... (**CRY**)
